Re: Need support bin, cue files and New naming convention files
I only ever use zipped images, so I don't have much experience with directly trying to add .cue files and running them in QuickPlay, it should be possible though, do you have *.cue as a valid file extension for Sega Dreamcast? Rather than add rom can you do a full directory scan (just you'll see the...

Re: Media Panel Accessing Video Files
So you would create a new tab, perhaps named 'videos', and in that tab set Tab type to thumbnails, set a media path and if the video name matches the rom name it should show up in the Videos tab (like my example pdf there does) and should be clickable (you mention I have more options in my screensho...

Re: ROM Properties "pop up time with zip/7z games"
A compressed file is just a file. If you want to know anything about the contents of it, you have to engage the program that zipped it up or a tool that works with that program. You might get lucky and the zip might store all of the properties of every file inside it that you need in some kind of ma...

Re: Filtering lists
Hi there welcome to QuickPlay! * The MAME functionality in QuickPlay wants to show a list with all the MAME Roms in the MAME XML, it doesn't want to limit your list to only roms that exist in a folder, though you can use MAME File Manager to do this if you really want: see https://quickplay.sourcefo...

Re: Network storage
Thanks for all that info, very much appreciated. There's some work to do here! I'm wondering what the easiest way to make those CHDman batch commands cross platform would be - these look interesting: https://nastytester.com/posts/script-that-works-in-windows-and-linux.html and the similar https://st...

Re: Network storage
good to know streaming works well for you! That's really interesting. So you don't even need to ensure your emulator pre-caches the whole image instead of streaming eg: audio (its a setting in some cores in RetroArch for instance)? I still store isos as zips for most systems where the native emulato...

Re: Network storage
that's interesting about admin rights, thanks for that tidbit! I still generally find I need to unzip many disc isos in order to play them in emulators (but the newer the system the more impractical this becomes due to the iso size, its a pity that compressed iso are best for use yet zipping them is...

Re: Search not working properly in "goodmerged" lists
Ah I see what you're saying now. No the search bar can only find titles of parent zips. If you want to see why, IIRC file-finding by keyboard DOES (incorrectly IMHO) work within zips, try typing Probo when focussed on the main roms panel (assuming you have a full NES set) and look at how long it tak...
